Sandy's Miracle From God

God and the Angels are busy gathering in the the harvest and blessings, and miracles for the 10 Days of Awe! My sister Sandy is a recipient of a direct miracle from God.

The trumpet is sounding loud for God and her name is Sandy. A few months ago sitting in the doctor's office waiting for Sandy to come out to tell me the what the test results showed. There were tears in her eyes when she walked through the door. "They said I have Alsheimers." sobbed Sandy as we walked out the door.

It was a very dark day for the family. Life changed for all of us that day. In my heart, I knew God could heal Sandy. I tried to tell her that as often as I could. In the meantime, we had to make preparations for eventuality of full dementia and Sandy is only 57 years old and too young to be thinking about long term care.

The hardest thing for Sandy to grasp was one day, not knowing her son who had just turned 22 and possibly not knowing any potential grandchildren. She did not want her son to have the responsibility of watching her mind deteriorate and caring for her. We immediately began to make plans for the possibility of full on alsheimers and death.

The doctors said that because the alsheimers was caught early, there was a test that could be done and depending on the results, She could take medication that could slow the progression or even stop it it was done immediately. When Sandy tried to get an appointment, she found that her insurance would not pay for the test. Two months had gone by and nothing had been done. Another option presented was to get a lumbar puncture or spinal tap to confirm and determine the medication needed. Finally the spinal tap was done at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, TN. There were complications with spinal tap and Sandy ended up being admitted to the hospital a few days later for an epidural patch to seal the spinal fluid leak.

Sandy never lost faith that God would heal her. I remember when we thought Mums had taken her last breath, Sandy yelled "Mama!, Wakeup! Mama!" . Sandy called Mums back from the dead. The monitor started beeping and her lifeline was no longer flat. .When it was a few days before time to get the results of the confirmation of Alsheimers, Sandy felt a peace come over her. It was unlike any other feeling she had ever had. Her faith intensified. She knew God had healed her. Her faith in God has always been strong and her love of Jesus shows in her everyday life as she tries to follow his footsteps the best she can.

When the neurologist came into the room, Sandy jumped up with excitement and said with a big grin on her face and hands closed together to her heart, "Tell me the good news!" The neurologist said the words Sandy was hoping to hear, "The tests came back negative. You don't have Alsheimers. You don't have dementia." Sandy hugged the neurologist and said , "I had faith and believed God would heal me!"

God shows the eternal spirit daily when we have faith as Sandy has. Jesus taught us that if we have faith as a grain on mustard seed we can cast the mountain into the sea. Sandy just cast her mountain and God showed up and showed out.!

I think it's wonderful that God would time this particular healing during the 10 Days of Awe! Sandy turned to me and asked me if I would tell the world how her faith in God healed her Alsheimers. I'm doing just that and sharing this wonderful miracle.
